About Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a modality that guides eligible candidates toward overall well-being, with the experiential and supervised use of ketamine as an adjunct to traditional psychotherapy.
Prescribed Ketamine and KAP is legal, safe, and effective. Candidates for KAP must already be working with a psychiatrist or psychotherapist to receive this treatment.
For Clinicians
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy works well as an adjunct to other therapeutic modalities. KAP clients can be referred by their primary therapist or psychiatrist to help clients with depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, moving forward from “stuck” points, exploring internal resources, processing grief, shifting thought processes, and/or increasing connection to self.
This can be a collaborative modality, and clients can participate in KAP sessions while continuing to work with their regular therapist. Internal Family Systems, EMDR, Brainspotting, trauma work, cognitive behavioral therapy, and somatic therapies fit well in conjunction with this approach.
